Here are your options for getting around Darwin: 

• Beam Scooters and Bikes: These are an affordable, fun, and eco-friendly way to get around the CBD and Waterfront areas. Beam makes visiting all of the city’s hotspots quick and convenient. All you have done is download the app and then you are good to ride away. 
• Walking: The compact nature of Darwin makes it perfect for exploring on foot if you are happy to tour the city at a slower pace. Enjoy the fresh air, take in all the sights, and discover many hidden gems along the way.
• Bus & Public Transport: Darwin’s bus system is reliable and covers most of the city. If this option appeals to you, we recommend getting a tap and ride card to make hopping on and off easy. This isn’t the quickest option for moving around the city, but is a great option for those on a budget. 
• Taxi’s & Ubers: Taxi and Uber services are readily available across the city on rainy-days or for visitors wanting to venture slightly further afield. 
• Car rentals: If you are wanting complete freedom to go wherever you please and to venture beyond the city then hiring a car is a great option. This is the perfect way to visit the national parks, top fishing spots, and everything else that falls beyond the canopy of central Darwin.
